Oregon State gets road victory
Oregon State is coming off a big 48-31 win at UCLA last weekend. The Beavers are now 2-3 on the season, 1-1 in the Pac-12, 4-1 against the spread and 3-2 with the over.
The Beavers have been pretty sound on offense, averaging 37 points and 475.6 yards per game this season. Defensively, Oregon State is allowing 30.4 points and 440.6 yards per contest. Jake Luton has thrown for 1,297 yards and 14 touchdowns to lead the offense while Isaiah Hodgins has caught 43 passes for 632 yards and nine scores. Artavis Pierce is the leading rusher with 482 yards and five touchdowns. The defense is being led by Hamilcar Rashed Jr., who had 31 tackles with six sacks.
Utah dominates Washington State
The Utah Utes are coming off a 38-13 win at home over Washington State two weeks ago for their best win of the season. The Utes are 4-1 on the year, 1-1 in the Pac-12, 2-3 against the spread and 4-1 with the under.
Utah has been pretty solid on defense, allowing just 14.4 points and 282.4 yards per game. Offensively, the Utes are putting up 31.4 points and 460.2 yards per contest. Tyler Huntley has thrown for 1,146 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the offense while also rushing for 190 yards and three scores. Zack Moss is the leading rusher with 393 yards and four touchdowns while Bryan Thompson is the leading receiver with 11 catches for 310 yards and two scores.
College Football Betting Trends
The Beavers are 2-6 against the spread in their last eight home games and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 conference games.
The Utes are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 conference games, but 0-5 ATS in their last five following a win.
Utah has won three straight against Oregon State, but the Beavers have covered in four of the last five in this series. Oregon State has been a problem for Utah and the Utes are going on the road, which is a concern. However, I think Utah learned from its last road trip, a loss at USC. The Beavers also have suffered losses to the likes of Stanford and Hawaii. Utah’s defense is much stronger than both of those teams and will be able to contain Oregon State. Offensive, the Utes can control the line of scrimmage and impose their will over the Beavers.
College Football Week 7 Prediction: Utah -14.5
