Cougars beat down by Utah
Washington State is coming off a 38-13 loss at Utah two weeks ago for its second straight loss. The Cougars are 3-2 on the season, 0-2 in the Pac-12, 1-4 against the spread and 3-2 with the under.
The Cougars are one of the top offensive teams in the nation, putting up 44.8 points and 546.8 yards per game this season. They have the nation’s top passing attack with 450 yards per game through the air. Defensively, Washington State is allowing 30.6 points and 444.4 yards per contest. Anthony Gordon is leading the team with 2,146 passing yards and 22 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has three receivers with over 350 yards. Easop Winston Jr. has 28 catches for 378 yards and eight touchdowns. Max Borghi is the leading rusher with 376 yards and four touchdowns.
Sun Devils upset Cal
Arizona State is coming off a 24-17 win at Cal two weeks ago in an upset road victory for the Sun Devils. ASU is now 4-1 on the season, 1-1 in the Pac-12, 2-3 against the spread and 4-1 with the under.
The Sun Devils have a respectable defense that is giving up just 14.4 points and 325.8 yards per game this season. Offensively, ASU has struggled to move the ball consistently. They are averaging just 22.8 points and 376.8 yards per contest. Quarterback Jayden Daniels has thrown for 1,247 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 175 yards and a score. Eno Benjamin has rushed for 392 yards and six touchdowns while Brandon Aiyuk has 24 catches for 455 yards and two touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Washington State
The Cougars are 9-2-1 with the under in their last 12 games following a loss, but 8-3 with the over in their last 11 road games.
Arizona State
ASU is 5-1 with the under in their last six games overall, but 9-3 with the over in their last 12 games following a bye week.
Prediction:
These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings. Washington State definitely has the potential to score, but the Cougars are going on the road and facing a good defensive team. Washington State scored just 13 points at Utah two weeks ago and ASU has a defense that could produce similar results. Arizona State needs this game to be low scoring in order to win, as the ASU offense is not explosive at all. With ASU at home, I think the Sun Devils control the style of play and keep the total low.
College Football Week 7 Prediction: Washington State/Arizona State Under 58.5
