College Football Week 5 Washington vs. Oregon Predictions 10/8/16

Despite Washington’s impressive victory over Stanford, is Oregon the play tonight as a home underdog at 7:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Huskies are now a 9-point road favorite versus the Ducks after opening as an 8-point favorite earlier this week. As for the total, the number has been bet down from 69.5 down to 68.5.

The Huskies have covered in six of their last eight games overall, are 13-5 against the spread in their last 17 games versus a team with a losing record, and are 4-0 against the number in their last four road games versus an opponent with a losing home record. They’re also 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games after accumulating more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.

As for the Ducks, they’re 14-5 at the betting window in their last 19 conference games, are 27-11-1 against the spread in their last 39 games versus an opponent with a winning record, and are 37-16-1 ATS in their last 54 games played in October. That said, they’re winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four home games and are 0-6-1 against the spread in their last seven games overall.

OUR PREDICTION: Before laying the big number on a Washington team that looked great last Friday in a huge win over Stanford, realize that the Huskies are just 3-12-1 against the spread in their last 16 games versus the Ducks and are 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven games in Eugene. Oregon has massive issues on defense but this is a huge number to give to a team playing at home in this environment. Washington is significantly better, but look for Oregon to play inspired as a home dog.
