Will No. 18 Michigan or No. 13 Northwestern came in less than full strength in Saturday’s Big Ten contest? Get the latest injuries news here.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Michigan is the favorite at home in this game, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Wildcats. The over/under total is listed at just 35 points. These two meet on Saturday at 3:30PM ET on the Big Ten Network.
The injuries seem to be piling up for Michigan heading into this game. Last week the Wolverines lost defensive lineman Mario Ojemudia (Achilles) for the season and are already without defensive tackle Bryan Mone to a leg injury. Ojemudia had 19 tackles with six tackles for loss and two sacks in five games this season. Offensively, the Wolverines have some issues in the backfield as De’Veon Smith is questionable with a leg injury while Wyatt Shallman is doubtful with an undisclosed injury. Smith is the leading rusher with 339 yards and four touchdowns. He is averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
Northwestern is mostly banged up up front as offensive lineman Adam DePietro (leg) is out while Geoff Mogus (head) and Matt Frazier (staph) are both questionable. The injuries to the linemen will certainly be an issue against the powerful Michigan defense. On defense, Kyle Queiro is out with an arm injury, but the defensive back had just six tackles on the season.
