Undefeated and 12th-ranked UCF will put its 17-game winning streak on the line as huge favorite tonight when it hosts Southern Methodist. Will offense be the story in this contest to send the total to the over?

West leading ground attack
Southern Methodist enters today's game 2-3 overall, but has won its last two games. It will look to establish the run as Braeden West is a staple of the offense, rushing 65 times for 343 yards and four touchdowns this season. Freshman William Brown has been the better of the two quarterbacks the last couple games and he is 44-of-66 through the air on the season for 541 yards plus six TDs and an INT. James Proche has been a big threat through the air with 31 receptions for 426 yards and five scores.
Milton having outstanding season
UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton is posting some of the best numbers in the nation as he enters having completed 84-of-137 passes for 1,223 yards with 13 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also rushed for 198 yards and five scores. Adrian Killins Jr. leads the ground attack with 45 rushes for 233 yards and three TDs. Gabriel Davis has 24 receptions for 322 yards and four touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
The Mustangs covered the spread in the last meeting versus UCF. Southern Methodist is 96-128 when playing on six or less days of rest since 1992.
The Knights are 19-9 ATS in their last 28 games the last three seasons. The last meeting went under the total.
If Southern Methodist can establish a run game, it can win the time of possession game and keep the clock moving. But that will be easier said than done. I think UCF jumps out to a big lead and forces SMU into the passing game, forcing Brown to make plays. I don't think he'll be able to make enough of them as he's still pretty untested. I can't see the Mustangs doing their part in making this high total happen.
PREDICTION: SOUTHERN METHODIST/UCF UNDER 74
