Iowa State vs. Oklahoma St Spread Pick
The Oklahoma State Cowboys rebounded from their first loss of the season last week when they beat Kansas but they’ll see a tougher test on Saturday when Iowa State comes to Stillwater. Will the underdog Cyclones cover the spread?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Cowboys are 9-point favorites to beat the Cyclones. The total, meanwhile, sits at 55.5 points. As of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Cowboys.
Iowa State Cyclones
Iowa State junior RB David Montgomery (arm) has been practicing this week. Montgomery (5’11/216) is considered questionable for Saturday’s showdown with Oklahoma State as he continues his rehab from an arm injury sustained against TCU over the weekend. We’ll have to wait until later in the practice week — perhaps even up until kickoff — to know definitively whether the junior will be able to suit up on Saturday. For what it’s worth, QB coach Joel Gordon said that he does expect Montgomery to be ready for Saturday.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State redshirt senior QB Taylor Cornelius completed 15-of-20 passes for 312 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in Saturday’s 48-28 win over Kansas. This was Cornelius’ first-career four TD game against an FBS opponent. It was nice to see after he’d totaled three total in the previous three games combined. Next week, OSU hosts Iowa State.
Betting Trends
Iowa State
The Cyclones are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games versus the Cowboys in Stillwater.
Oklahoma State
The home team is 9-3 against the spread in the last 12 meetings between these two teams.
Prediction
Assuming the Cowboys drag the Cyclones into a shootout, they should run away with this one. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Zeb Noland will start again for the Cyclones and while he has completed 63.9 percent of his passes thus far with a 4:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio, TCU also held him to just 79 yards passing last week. I just don’t see how ISU keeps pace this afternoon.
