Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky redshirt sophomore QB Terry Wilson completed 13-of-20 passes for 132 yards and added 59 yards and a touchdown on the ground in Saturday’s 24-10 win over South Carolina. Wilson (6’3/205) and Benny Snell’s ability to run the ball have led the Wildcats to a 5-0 start including three SEC wins. The dual-threat quarterback has more rushing touchdowns (2) than interceptions (1) in the last three games. That’s exactly what Wilson needs to do for Kentucky to continue their breakout season under Mark Stoops. The Wildcats get a chance to keep things rolling against Texas A&M on the road next week.
Texas A&M Aggies
At his weekly press conference, Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher told reporters that he was trying to get junior LB Tyrel Dodson’s attention during Saturday’s game against Arkansas. “I didn’t grab it. I didn’t jerk it,” Fisher said at the press conference. He later came back in to tell reporters at the press conference that he meant to say that he didn’t mean to grab the facemask to jerk it. As this is in direct contrast with the video that was seen on Saturday, where fisher rather visably grabbed and shook the facemask of Dodson during the victory against the Razorbacks. Dodson has also said he didn’t have a problem with Fisher doing what he did.
Betting Trends
Kentucky
The under is 5-2 in the Wildcats’ last seven games overall.
Texas A&M
The under is 5-0 in the Aggies’ last five games played in October.
Prediction
The Wildcats have won five straight games on the strength of their defense and Benny Snell. Why would they change Saturday night at Kyle Field? Their rushing attack will continue to protect their defense and thus, the clock will be moving consistently. Texas A&M has one of the better passing attacks in the SEC but again, Kentucky’s defense has been stout. Let’s not sell the Aggies short either, as they’re allowing just 21.4 points per game and rank 47th nationally in yards allowed.
College Football Prediction: Kentucky/Texas A&M under 50.5
