Kansas State Wildcats
Kansas State HC Bill Synder indicated that junior QB Alex Delton isn’t likely to start Saturday against Baylor. Snyder said Skylar Thompson has a “step up” on Delton after Thompson outplayed Delton in the Texas game, Delton’s first start of the year. We should also monitor Delton’s status this week after he was seen noticeably limping late in the second quarter against the Longhorns. Delton was then benched for Thompson in the second half and Thompson nearly led a come-from-behind victory. “The anticipation is both of them will play (if healthy),” Snyder said. “I think both of them are very similar. A lot of people say one can throw and one can run and each one can’t do the other, but that is not an accurate assessment. Both of them have the ability to do both … Both are still growing. They are still young and still growing. They are both still making improvements.”
Baylor Bears
The NCAA served Baylor with a formal notice of allegations following its investigation, including a citation for lack of institutional control. In addition, former Bears HC Art Briles was cited for failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance. Baylor had 90 days to respond from the moment they were served (which was last month, according to the report). Reports in August suggested that Baylor was advised to consider a one-year bowl ban as a self-imposed sanction, but Bears officials vehemently denied they considered a bowl ban. The Bears are 3-2 and will need to go a minimum of 3-4 down the stretch in Big 12 play to qualify.

The over is 5-1 in the Bears’ last six games overall.
Prediction
Kansas State continues to be a good team to play the under when they play. Their offense remains stuck in the mud as Bill Snyder continues to jostle the quarterbacks. The under is 6-1 in the Wildcats’ last seven games, is 5-0 in their last five games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game, and is 5-2 in the Bears’ last seven conference tilts. K-State ranks 120th nationally in points per game, generating just 19.6 points per contest.
