Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
Stetson Bennett completed 27-of-36 passes for 272 yards and an interception Saturday against Kent State, while also rushing for a touchdown in the 39-22 victory. The Golden Flashes hung around in this contest and Bennett had his first mediocre game of the season, failing to throw a single touchdown pass for the first time in 2022. He does have a rushing touchdown in every game this season, though, which has helped his cause. The Bulldogs have a fairly easy schedule in the beginning of October, including next week’s visit to Mizzou, so Bennett should be able to get back on track.
Missouri Tigers Game Notes
Brady Cook completed 14-of-24 passes for 179 yards and an interception Saturday at Auburn, though did rush for a touchdown in the 17-14 OT loss. Just one week after dismantling lowly Abilene Christian, Cook predictably struggled against an SEC opponent. Cook has not thrown for 300 yards in a game this season, and has failed to throw for a touchdown in two of Mizzou’s first four contests. The task gets no easier against No. 1 Georgia next weekend.
