Virginia Cavaliers Game Notes

Virginia redshirt sophomore QB Brennan Armstrong completed 33-of-59 yards for 407 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in a 34-17 loss to Wake Forest on Friday. Armstrong (6'2/215) broke 400 yards for the second consecutive game after throwing for 554 yards last week in a loss to the Tar Heels. This was the second straight loss with huge numbers for Armstrong, as the Cavaliers just can't seem to put it all together after winning their first two games handily. Armstrong looks to lead Virginia into Coral Gables to take on Miami next Thursday night.

Miami Hurricanes Game Notes

Miami HC Manny Diaz defended his program and the school's administration on Monday. On College GameDay on Saturday, Kirk Herbstreit questioned whether there was a strong enough commitment to football from the university. On Monday, Diaz opened his Zoom press conference by addressing those comments. Diaz structured his argument around the idea that Miami was just as invested as anyone else, but was lacking in resources compared to some others. "There will always be somebody with more resources," Diaz said. "That's not a Miami problem. That's a college football problem with a capital P that no one really wants to talk about. But our best resource here at the University of Miami has always been our people." Diaz's Hurricanes are 2-2 heading into a Thursday night game against Virginia.

Virginia vs. Miami Betting Prediction
