Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers at, Memphis is favored on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -14.5 points against Tulane. The over/under total is currently set at 65.5 points. The public betting for this game currently has 76 percent going on Memphis on the road. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our College Football Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Tulane on a skid

Tulane had dropped two straight since a victory over Nicholls State to fall to 1-3 on the season. The Green Wave are 2-2 against the spread while going 3-1 with the under. Despite failing to cover in its last two, Tulane is 4-2 ATS in its last six games.

The Green Wave are allowing 30 points and 491.5 yards per game on defense this year, including nearly 200 rushing yards per game. Offensively, Tulane is putting up 22.3 points and 376.3 yards per game. The Wave have a nice 1-2 punch in the backfield with Corey Dauphine and Darius Bradwell, who have 527 combined rushing yards and five touchdowns. Under center, Jonathan Banks has thrown for 792 yards and five touchdowns.

Memphis wins back-to-back

Memphis is coming off back-to-back wins over Georgia State and UTSA, scoring 111 points in the two games. The Tigers dropped their lone conference game to Navy, 22-21 back on Sept. 8. The Tigers are 3-1 on the season, 2-2 against the spread and 3-1 with the over. They are just 2-4 against the spread in their last six contests as a program.

The Tigers are averaging 49.5 points and 593 yards per game on offense this season, including over 300 rushing yards per game. Darrell Henderson is off to a torrid start. He has rushed for 709 yards on just 58 carries and has eight touchdowns. Quarterback Brady White has thrown for 1,064 yards and 12 touchdowns with just one interception. Defensively, Memphis is giving up 23.3 points and 317.3 yards per game.

College Football Betting Trends

Tulane is 7-1 against the spread in its last eight home games, but just 1-10 ATS in its last 11 Friday contests.

Memphis has covered the spread in six straight Friday games and in seven of its last nine against a team with a losing record.

Memphis has dominated this series, winning the last 10 straight up and covering the spread in eight of the last 10. The Tigers have an offense that will be hard for Tulane to combat. The Green Wave have struggled to slow down explosive offenses already and Memphis should be no different. While Tulane played Wake Forest tough at home, I expect Memphis to have too much athleticism and speed on offense for the Green Wave.

College Football Prediction: Memphis -14.5
