Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Game Notes
Middle Tennessee junior QB Asher O’Hara completed 16-of-23 passes for just 109 yards with an interception and ran for 45 yards and a score in a 47-14 loss on Saturday to Troy. It was an ugly performance from the MTSU offense, and O’Hara (6’0/185) deserves a good deal of the blame, unfortunately. He wasn’t able to get the ball downfield, and he was bench after an ugly interception. “Fortunately” for O’Hara, Chase Cunningham was even worse when he took over with two completions on seven attempts and two interceptions. O’Hara showed flashes of brilliance as a sophomore, but he’s really struggled to begin the 2020 campaign. The 0-2 Blue Raiders will take on Western Kentucky on October 3.
UTSA Roadrunners Game Notes
UTSA junior RB Brenden Brady (leg) is expected to miss time after suffering an injury during Saturday’s game vs. Stephen F. Austin. How much time Brady (5’11/205) misses is unknown at this point, with HC Jeff Traylor simply saying on Tuesday that he’ll be out for awhile. The junior running back’s absence doesn’t impact the top of the depth chart as Sincere McCormick remains the starter, but the Roadrunners now have one less option to call upon whenever their top back needs a break.
Middle Tennessee vs. UTSA Betting Prediction
The Blue Raiders are 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 conference games, are 11-5 against the number in their last 16 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous contest and are 5-1 at the betting window in their last six games after accumulating less than 275 total yards in their previous contest. On the other side, the Roadrunners are 4-13-1 against the spread in their last 18 home games, are 1-8 against the number in their last nine games as a home favorite and are 1-8-1 ATS in their last nine games played in the month of September.
