Florida vs. Tennessee Prediction
Can the Florida Gators pull off the upset today in Knoxville when they visit Tennessee at 3:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Volunteers are 4.5-point home favorites versus the Gators, who opened as 8-point underdogs earlier in the week. As for the total, the number opened at 43.5 and has been bet down to 43.
The Gators are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games overall but have been a fantastic play for bettors on the road, going 9-1 at the betting window in their last 10 games away from Gainesville. They're also 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 games versus a team with a winning record and are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 conference games as well.
The Volunteers, meanwhile, are 5-1 against the number in their last six games against SEC foes and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games coming off a win. They're also 8-3 at the betting window in their last 11 games following an ATS loss and have covered in five straight games when playing an opponent that owns a winning record.
OUR PREDICTION: For one reason or another, Tennessee's outstanding offense hasn't been firing on all cylinders. Outside of their trouncing of Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway in Week 2, the Vols looked unimpressive versus Appalachian State and Ohio and now takes on a Gators team that boasts an outstanding defense. Florida has been a great play for bettors in this matchup, covering in four straight games in Knoxville and going 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings with Tennessee overall. The underdog is also 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings between these two teams while the road squad is 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight meetings.
