Georgia vs. Ole Miss Prediction
Can Georgia pull off the upset today against Ole Miss when the SEC teams square off at 12:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Rebels are 7-point home favorites versus the Bulldogs after opening as a 7.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number opened at 60.5 and has been bet up to 62 points at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
Georgia has been a great road bet of late, cashing in seven of its last 10 games away from home. That said, the Bulldogs are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games following an ATS loss and are 2-5 against the number in their last seven conference games as well. They're also 3-9 ATS in their last 12 contests after allowing more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.
The Rebels have been a great home play, covering in eight of their last 11 games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. They're also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus a team with a winning record and are 5-1 at the betting window in their last six contests after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game.
OUR PREDICTION: There's no way the Bulldogs should be getting a full touchdown in this matchup. Not with Nick Chubb at running back, an inexperienced but talented young quarterback in Jacob Eason, and with the Rebels coming off a physical game versus the Tide last week. Georgia is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games at Mississippi and 6-2 against the number in its last eight meetings with the Rebels overall.
