Purdue came into the season with some expectations this year after a nice 2017 season, but the Boilermakers are off to an 0-3 start with losses to Northwestern, Eastern Michigan and Missouri. Purdue is 1-2 against the spread while going 2-1 with the over. They have covered the spread in four of their last six as a program.

Boston College gets into the rankings
Boston College has gotten off to a nice 3-0 start following a 41-34 win at Wake Forest last weekend. The Eagles have covered the spread in all three wins while hitting the over in all three as well. BC is an impressive 8-1-1 against the spread in its last 10 games as a program.
BC is having a great start offensively, averaging 52.7 points and 577.3 yards per game. The Eagles have great balance, averaging nearly the same on the ground and in the air. College Football Betting Trends
The Boilermakers are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven against winning teams.
The Eagles have covered the spread in five straight against a team with a losing record and in six straight road games.
Purdue isn’t playing well, but the Boilermakers are keeping games very close. Their three losses have been by just a combined 8 points. The Boilers just aren’t making those key plays down the stretch. Boston College certainly is good, and it won’t surprise me to see the Eagles win, but I do think this game will come down to the wire. BC isn’t a team that is going to run away from opponents often.
