Meyer returns

The Ohio State football team is coming off a 40-28 win over TCU last weekend at AT&T Stadium to move to 3-0 on the year. The Buckeyes get Urban Meyer back this week following his 3-game suspension. They are 2-1 against the spread this season while hitting the over in two of their three games. OSU has covered the spread in four of its last five games.

Ohio State has been dominant on offense, putting up 56.3 points and 608.7 yards per game so far. Dwayne Haskins has looked steady at QB, throwing for 890 yards and 11 touchdowns thus far. The tandem of Mike Weber and J.K. Dobbins have rushed for over 500 yards with four touchdowns. The Buckeyes are holding opponents to just 20.7 points and 345.7 yards per game.

Tulane struggling

The Tulane Green Wave are 1-2 on the season following a 31-24 loss at UAB last weekend. Tulane is 2-1 against the spread while going 2-1 with the under. The Green Wave have are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games.

The Green Wave are giving up 23.7 points and 465.3 yards per game. That includes 200 rushing yards per game. On offense, Tulane is averaging 27.7 points and 416.3 yards per game. Corey Dauphine and Darius Bradwell have combined for 443 rushing yards and four touchdowns to lead the offense while Jonathan Banks has thrown for 651 yards and five touchdowns. Darnell Mooney is the leading receiver with 18 catches for 308 yards and three scores.

College Football Betting Trends

Ohio State

Ohio State is 4-1 against the spread in its last five home games, but just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a losing team.

Tulane

Tulane is 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six road games and 7-3-1 against the spread in their last 11 games in September.

Prediction:

Ohio State has been scoring points at will at home and with Meyer back, I think the Buckeyes aren’t going to hold back. He is upset that he had to face this suspension as well and is going to unleash the hounds. Tulane doesn’t have the athletes to slow down this Ohio State offense. I could see the Buckeyes easily scoring over 50 points this afternoon.

College Football Prediction: Ohio State -37
