Drew Lock and the Missouri Tigers offense has been excellent in their 3-0 start but can the defense hold up versus Georgia when the Bulldogs come to town on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET. Listed as a two-touchdown favorite, will the Bulldogs cover the spread?

Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia coach Kirby Smart has a lot of respect for Missouri quarterback Drew Lock, who faces the No. 2 Bulldogs on Saturday. “I don’t know how his arm can get any stronger. He can make every throw. … He has the fastest release I’ve ever seen. He gets the ball out so quick.”
Missouri Tigers
“More than anything, (we) mentally stayed on track to line up and play the next snap,” Missouri coach Barry Odom said following the Tigers’ win over Purdue in Week 3. “That’s something we’ve focused on over and over and over. No matter how good or bad the last snap is, refocus and let’s get on to the next one.”
Betting Trends
Georgia
The Bulldogs are 4-0 against the spread in their last four conference games and have covered in seven of their last eight games overall.
Missouri
The Tigers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six conference games and are 5-1 against the number in their last six home games.
Prediction
This matchup reminds me a lot of the one Georgia played two weeks ago in South Carolina. The Gamecocks were at home, with an experienced quarterback in a big spot looking to prove themselves against big, bad Georgia. They were waxed 41-17 as Jake Bentley was intercepted twice and they couldn’t moved the ball on the ground. Lock has been impressive this season and there’s no question he has matured after years of seasoning. But this Bulldogs defense is nasty and they’re going to score plenty of points against a Mizzou defense that was shredded a week ago by David Blough and Purdue. I don’t see Missouri keeping pace.
