Georgia looking dominant
Georgia has been impressive to start the year, winning all three of its games by at least 24 points. The Bulldogs are 2-1 against the spread while going 2-1 with the under thus far.
The Bulldogs are putting up 49.3 points and 565.3 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 7.7 points and 243 yards per contest. Jake Fromm has thrown for 601 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense while D’Andre Swift is the leading rusher with 290 yards and two scores. George Pickens is the leading receiver with nine catches for 162 yards.
Irish hoping for big upset
Notre Dame is coming off a 66-14 win over New Mexico last week at home. The Fighting Irish are 2-0 to start the year while going 1-1 against the spread. They have also split the over/under total.
The Fighting Irish are putting up 50.5 points and 507 yards of offense per game thus far while giving up 15.5 points and 373 yards per contest. Ian Book has thrown for 553 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense. Tony Jones Jr. also has 127 yards rushing while Chase Claypool has nine receptions for 190 yards and a score.
College Football Betting Trends
The Bulldogs have covered the spread in 11 of their last 15 against a winning team and in six of their last eight games on grass.
The Fighting Irish are 0-3-1 against the spread in their last four road games, but 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games in September.
Both teams are getting their biggest test of the season to date. Notre Dame showed a little weakness on the road against Louisville, giving up some explosive plays on defense early on. That could be a problem today against a Georgia team that can score in bunches. The Bulldogs have a defense that could compete with Clemson’s last year. We saw what happened to Notre Dame with that unit. I just think the Irish don’t have the same overall talent as Georgia.
College Football Week 4 Prediction: Georgia -14.5
