USC vs. Utah Pick
Will Friday night’s Pac-12 matchup between USC and Utah fall short of the total for bettors at 9:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Utes are 3-point home favorites versus the Trojans after they opened as only a 1.5-point fave. As for the total, the number opened at 46.5 and that’s where it currently sits. USC enters play with a 1-2 record and is 1-2 against the spread, while Utah is a perfect 3-0 straight up but failed to cover in two of those three games.
Bet This Week’s College Football Games
USC: The Trojans lost their second game of the season last week in Stanford, losing 27-10 to the Cardinal as a 7.5-point underdog. Quarterback Max Browne was just 18-of-28 for 191 yards in the loss as the Trojans were also 4-fo-12 on third down opportunities (compared to 7-for-14 for Stanford). JuJu Smith-Schuster finished with just three catches and 34 yards.
UTAH: Coming off a narrow 20-19 win over BYU, the Utes won more comfortably last Saturday against San Jose State. Utah beat the Spartans 34-17 as a 13.5-point favorite, covering for the first time this season. The over also cashed for the first time in Utah games, as the two teams combined for enough points to push the score over the 46-point number. Quarterback Troy Williams was 20-of-28 for 257 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the victory.
OUR PICK: The under is 5-1 in the Utes’ last six home games, is 6-1 in their last seven games following a win, and 8-3 in their last 11 contests after allowing less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game. On the other side, the under is 9-3 in the Trojans’ last 12 road games, is 10-4-1 in their last 15 conference games, and has also cashed in 11 of USC’s last 16 games playing in the month of September.
