Irish looking strong
Notre Dame is coming off a 66-14 win over New Mexico last week at home. The Fighting Irish are 2-0 to start the year while going 1-1 against the spread. They have also split the over/under total.
The Fighting Irish are putting up 50.5 points and 507 yards of offense per game thus far while giving up 15.5 points and 373 yards per contest. Ian Book has thrown for 553 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense. Tony Jones Jr. also has 127 yards rushing while Chase Claypool has nine receptions for 190 yards and a score.
Georgia rolling along
Georgia has been impressive to start the year, winning all three of its games by at least 24 points. The Bulldogs are 2-1 against the spread while going 2-1 with the under thus far.
The Bulldogs are putting up 49.3 points and 565.3 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 7.7 points and 243 yards per contest. Jake Fromm has thrown for 601 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense while D’Andre Swift is the leading rusher with 290 yards and two scores. College Football Betting Trends
Notre Dame
The Fighting Irish are 4-1 with the under in their last five non-conference games and 5-1 with the under in their last six road games against a team with a winning record at home.
Georgia
The Bulldogs are 10-3 with the under in their last 13 games in September and 22-9-2 with the under in their last 33 home games.
Prediction:
While Georgia has looked really impressive, the Bulldogs haven’t faced a real solid opponent yet. I think the Bulldogs will have some trouble moving the ball on the Notre Dame defense, which has been solid for the last two years. Notre Dame’s offense is also likely to have some trouble, as the Georgia defense is physical up front and has a lot of team speed. Book is going to be challenged and I am not sure he’s capable to making all the right decisions. Look for this game to be lower scoring than what the oddsmakers are predicting.
