Latest on UCLA…
Quarterback Josh Rosen was a legitimate Heisman candidate entering the season but thus far his two performances have been rather pedestrian. After completing 26-of-46 passes for 343 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions in the season-opening loss to Texas A&M, Rosen completed 23-of-37 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown in last Saturday's 42-21 win over UNLV. He certainly hasn't played poorly, he just isn't posting eye-popping numbers like other Heisman candidates around the nation have through the first two weeks.
Latest on BYU…
The Cougars covered in both of their games to start the season, beating Arizona 18-16 as a 1-point favorite in Week 1 and then covering as a 3-point underdog against Utah in a 20-19 loss last Saturday night. Taysom Hill played poorly in the loss to the Utes, completing 21-of-39 passes for 176 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions, although he kept the Cougars in the game with his legs while rushing 13 times for 87 yards and two scores.
OUR PREDICTION: The Bruins are 0-4 against the spread in their last four games overall, are 1-4 at the betting window in their last five games following a straight up win and are 0-4 ATS in their last four non-conference games as well. On the other side, the Cougars are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games, have covered in five of their last six games in September, and are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
