Colorado vs. Michigan Prediction
Can Colorado put up any kind of fight when it faces No. 4 Michigan today at 3:30PM ET on the Big Ten Network?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan is the clear favorite in today’s game. The Wolverines are getting odds of -19 points against the Buffaloes. The over/under total for the contest is set at 56 points. These two teams haven’t met since 1997, but Michigan has won and covered the spread in two straight against the Buffaloes.
The Wolverines couldn’t ask for much more from their start to the season. They have beaten Hawaii 63-3 and Central Florida 51-14 thus far. Michigan has covered the spread in both games this season and three straight overall. Michigan is putting up 479.5 yards per game on offense thus far while allowing just 281.5 yards per game on defense. Wilton Speight has looked comfortable under center, throwing for 457 yards and seven touchdowns in two games. While Michigan has rushed for 425 yards as a team, there is still some concern about their ability to run the ball effectively as the defenses get tougher.
Colorado has looked just as good as Michigan, if not better, thus far. The Buffaloes beat Colorado State 44-7 and Idaho State 56-7. The Buffaloes have covered the spread in both games and three straight as well. Colorado is averaging 587.5 yards per game on offense thus far while allowing just 160.5 yards per game on defense. Sefo Liufau has thrown for 522 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 120 yards and a score to lead the offense.

The Buffaloes look tough on paper and seem like a team that could give Michigan some trouble. Neither team has been tested yet, but the big key in this one is location. Colorado is going on the road for the first time this year, and doing it in front of over 100,000 people. Michigan has already dominated at home and will be comfortable on their turf again this week. Colorado is just 11-23-1 against the spread in its last 35 on the road while Michigan has covered in four straight non-conference games and five of their last seven at home. Look for the Michigan defense to create some turnovers and set up some easy scores for the offense to allow Michigan to win by at least 20.
