Latest on Alabama…
Head coach Nick Saban ripped his team to reporters last Saturday despite the Crimson Tide winning comfortably over Western Kentucky. “I don’t think we respected the team we played. Like I said before, when you’re arrogant, it makes you complacent,” Saban said. “It creates a blatant disregard for doing things right. If we don’t start doing things right, we’re not going to have the kind of success that we’re capable of.” Saban also screamed at offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin on the sidelines at one point during the game.
Latest on Ole Miss…
Senior defensive tackle D.J. Jones predicted that the Rebels would beat Alabama for the third straight time. After asked by Campus Rush’s Lindsay Schnell about the impact that the Rebels’ victories over the Crimson Tide had on recruiting, Jones quipped: “After we beat them for the third time, people are gonna be thinking, “Man, if I go to ‘Bama, I’m gonna have to play and lose to Ole Miss every year.” After providing bulletin board material for Saban and Co., the 6-foot-1, 315-pound Jones and his teammates better get ready for Alabama’s best effort.

OUR PREDICTION: Saban has never lost to the same team in three consecutive seasons during his 10 seasons at Alabama so beating the Crimson Tide today will be no small feat for the Rebels. But can Ole Miss cover? Clearly Hugh Freeze and his players aren’t intimidated by ‘Bama and Chad Kelly has had some big moments versus the Crimson Tide. The Rebels are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 home games and are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games versus a team with a winning road record. Even if Ole Miss comes up short this time on the scoreboard, the Rebels should stay within double digits of the Tide.
