Indiana looking for big upset
The Hoosiers have gotten off to a 2-0 start this season thanks to a 34-24 win against Ball State and a 52-0 win over Eastern Illinois. IU is 1-1 against the spread while hitting the under in both games.
Indiana has been having a lot of success on offense, as the Hoosiers are putting up 43 points and 514.5 yards per game. The IU defense is giving up only 12 points and 257 yards per game. Michael Penix Jr. has thrown for 523 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 79 yards to lead the Indiana offense. Whop Philyor is the leading receiver with 10 catches for 141 yards while Stevie Scott II is the leading rusher with 109 yards and three touchdowns.
Buckeyes get back to dominance
After somewhat of a shaky outing against FAU in the opener, Ohio State looked much more dominant this past weekend in a 42-0 win over Cincinnati at home. The Buckeyes are 1-1 against the spread and 1-0-1 with the under through the two games.
Ohio State has looked great through two games with new coach Ryan Day, as the Buckeyes are putting up 43.5 points and 488.5 yards per game on offense while allowing just 10.5 points and 250.5 yards per game on defense. Quarterback Justin Fields has thrown for 458 yards and six touchdowns through two games while also rushing for 103 yards and three scores. J.K. Dobbins is adding 232 rushing yards and three scores. The defense is being led by Chase Young, who has eight tackles and three sacks.
College Football Betting Trends
Indiana
The Hoosiers have hit the under in four straight overall, but has hit the over in five of their last seven conference games.
Ohio State
The Buckeyes are 8-3 with the over in their last 11 road games, but 4-1 with the under in their last five games in September.
Prediction:
Indiana hasn’t faced anything compared to what it will see today. Ohio State is going to be far superior on both sides of the ball compared to what the Hoosiers have seen this year. The IU offense isn’t going to have much success moving on this OSU defense and the Buckeyes should be able to consistently put together scoring drives. Despite that, I don’t expect the over to hit here. I think Indiana will really struggle to put up points and that will keep this total under, as Ohio State is bound to have a few mistakes offensively in a road game.
