Georgia State vs. Wisconsin Pick
No. 9 Wisconsin looks to keep rolling along when the Badgers play host to Georgia State on Saturday at Noon ET.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Wisconsin is heavily favored in this game, as the Badgers are getting odds of -34 points against Georgia State. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 49 points. These two have no recent meetings to consider.
The Badgers followed up their 16-14 win over LSU in the opener with a 54-10 win over Akron at home last week. Wisconsin has covered the spread in both games and has now covered in its last four, dating back to last November. The Badgers have had a good balance on offense, averaging over 200 yards per game on the ground and in the air. Defensively, Wisconsin is holding opponents to just 240.5 yards per contest. Corey Clement has rushed for 197 yards and three touchdowns to lead this offense while Bart Houston has thrown for 436 yards and two scores.
Georgia State hasn’t had much luck thus far, losing to Ball State at home 31-21 and at Air Force, 48-41. The Panthers have yet to cover the spread in either game. Both sides of the ball are struggling for Georgia State, allowing 493 yards per game overall, including 394.5 rushing yards per contest. On offense, Georgia State is putting up only 220.5 yards per game, with just 52 coming on the ground. Conner Manning is leading the team with 298 yards and two touchdowns passing.
Wisconsin shouldn’t have any trouble in this game. Though the spread is pretty big, the Badgers should be able to do whatever they want on offense and should easily stop Georgia State. The Badgers were able to keep LSU in check, so there is no doubt that they can keep the Panthers in check as well. Don’t be afraid of the spread here, go with Wisconsin.
