San Jose State vs. Oregon Total Pick
The Oregon Ducks will rack up plenty of points on Saturday when they host the San Jose Spartans at 5:00 p.m. ET. But will the Spartans contribute enough offensively to push the score over the betting total?
Game Snapshot

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Ducks are 41-point favorites to beat the Spartans. The total, meanwhile, sits at 68 points. As of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Ducks.
San Jose State Spartans
San Jose State redshirt sophomore QB Montel Aaron completed 13-of-25 passes for just 94 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday’s 31-0 loss at Washington State. Aaron was making his first start of the season after Josh Love opened under center last week in a loss to FCS UC Davis. The good news is that no one else stepped up in the shutout loss on The Palouse, but the bad news is Aaron has very little tools around him and it appears like it is going to be another long year for the Spartans. The hard road continues with another Pac-12 opponent, Oregon, on the schedule next weekend in Eugene.
Oregon Ducks
Oregon junior QB Justin Herbert completed 20-of-26 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday’s 62-14 win over Portland State. Herbert (6’5/233) now has nine touchdowns through two games and is definitely in the Heisman race early on. In today’s blowout, Herbert found four different receivers for touchdowns and averaged a fantastic 9.6 yards per pass attempt. But most importantly, Herbert was able to vastly improve on his sub-50 percent completion percentage from last week. The potential first selected quarterback in the NFL Draft will have another non-Power 5 matchup against San Jose State next Saturday.
Betting Trends
San Jose State
The under is 5-1 in Spartans’ last six games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
Oregon
The over is 53-20-1 in the Ducks’ last 74 home games and 7-3 in their last 10 games versus an opponent with a losing record.
Prediction
Given how the Spartans were shut out a week ago by Washington State, we might not get much out of San Jose State. That said, Oregon could score 60 on its own given how poor San Jose State’s defense is. The only play here is the over, especially with the game played in Eugene. The Ducks should score at will.
