College Football Week 3 Vegas Odds
The College Football Season has a somewhat down slate of games for Week 3 of the schedule. Here’s a look at what the Las Vegas Oddsmakers thing of this week’s contests.
The featured game of the weekend has second-ranked Alabama going on the road for SEC play to take on South Carolina. According to the latest oddsmakers at the MGM Mirage in Las Vegas, Alabama is the clear road favorite, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of -25.5 points against the Gamecocks. The Tide are off to a 2-0 start with wins over Duke and New Mexico State by a combined score of 104-17. Amazingly, the Tide didn’t cover on Saturday due to being a 54.5-point favorite. South Carolina is 1-1 on the year, suffering a 24-20 loss to UNC in Week 1 before bouncing back with a 72-10 win over Charleston Southern. They are 1-1 against the spread. South Carolina actually won its last meeting with Alabama back in 2010 and the Gamecocks have covered in three of their last four meetings.
One game with a little intrigue features No. 18 Michigan State playing host to Arizona State on Saturday at 4PM ET. Oddsmakers are listing the Spartans as a 13-point favorite at home against the Sun Devils. ASU is off to a 2-0 start with wins over Kent State and Sacramento State. However, they are 0-2 against the spread. Michigan State is 2-0 with wins over Tulsa and Western Michigan, going 1-1 against the spread in the two games. These two met last season, with Arizona State grabbing a 16-13 win at home as a 4.5-point underdog.
