Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sports book, the Razorbacks are 14-point favorites to beat the Rams. The total, meanwhile, sits at 70 points. As of this writing, 76% of the public betting tickets wagered on this matchup are on the Razorbacks.

Arkansas Razorbacks

Arkansas redshirt sophomore QB Cole Kelley and junior QB Ty Storey are listed as co-starters for Saturday's game against Colorado State. Kelley and Storey were listed as co-starters last week as well, with Kelley getting the actual start and Storey coming off the bench. It was the latter who was the most effective, but it's worth pointing out that it came against an FCS opponent. Don't be surprised if Kelley starts again, but expect to see both get significant playing time against the 0-2 Rams.

Colorado State Rams

Colorado State HC Mike Bobo lifted the suspensions of redshirt sophomore RB Rashaad Boddie and junior RB Marvin Kinsey Jr. No news was given about the reason for the punishments outside of Boddie and Kinsey being suspended for "violating team rules." The two runners were also forced to sit out the first half of last season's New Mexico Bowl, while Boddie was also hit with a brief suspension during fall camp in late July/early August. Boddie was previously considered the shoe-in for RB2 duties behind Izzy Matthews. We'll see if he can remain active long enough to win that job.

Betting Trends

The Razorbacks are 0-5-2 against the spread in their last seven non-conference games.

Colorado State

The Rams are 13-5-1 against the number in their last 19 games played in the month of September.

The only play here in my eyes is Arkansas minus the points. The Rams allowed 43 points to Hawaii and 45 points to Colorado in their first two games as defense has been a major issue. They’ve been gashed for 44 points and 606.5 yards per game while also allowing 8.8 yards per play. This is one of the worst teams in college football and while a turnaround isn’t completely out of the question, I’m not banking on Colorado State suddenly being competitive.
