Ohio St. vs. Virginia Tech Injuries
No. 1 Ohio State won’t have all of its weapons when it hits the road to face Virginia Tech at 8PM ET. Here’s a look at the injuries heading into this big game.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Ohio State is currently listed as a 14-point favorite at Virginia Tech. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 52.5 points. These two meet on Monday night at 8PM ET on ESPN.
The key injuries for Ohio State come on offense as receiver Noah Brown is out for the season with a leg injury. Brown had just one catch a year ago, but was in the mix to compete at receiver this year for the Buckeyes. Ohio State has also suspended four players for this game, most notably defensive lineman Joey Bosa and receivers Corey Smith and Jalin Marshall. Smith and Marshall combined for 58 receptions with 754 yards and six touchdowns in 2014. Bosa is considered one of the top defensive players in college this year. He had 55 tackles with 21 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks in 2014.
For Virginia Tech, they have just one player listed and it’s running back Shai McKenzie, who is out for Monday’s game because of a suspension. McKenzie was third on the team in rushing last year with 269 yards and three touchdowns.
