Oregon Ducks Game Notes
Oregon received a verbal commitment from 2023 three-star DL My’Kiel Gardner. Gardner (6’2″/275) is ranked as the 59th DL and the 11th player out of Arizona. Despite the relatively low ranked, he had quite the offer sheet, as Oregon had to win over Michigan, Texas, Wisconsin and USC. Oregon’s class is now ranked 15th for 2023, not a bad first effort for Dan Lanning and more could be on the way soon.
Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
The Athletic’s Dane Brugler has Georgia senior EDGE Nolan Smith second in his 2023 NFL draft edge rankings. The top spot belongs to Will Anderson who is one of the best pass rushers we have seen in years. The second spot was a question but Brugler believes it to be Smith (6’3/235). He cites his twitchy athleticism as his best trait, something he uses to get to the quarterback and to stop the run. If he can improve his play strength, that will go a long way in securing a spot at the top of his edge rankings come April.
