Old Dominion Monarchs Game Notes

Old Dominion announced it will be leaving the Conference USA on June 30, a yearly earlier than expected.  It is being reported that ODU first approached the C-USA about their intentions to break apart for the 2022 season back in December, with the school stating in a press release that it “has clearly and consistently repeated its intentions to the Conference." regarding their imminent departure. Even though Old Dominion will be moving to the Sun Belt in 2023, there has been no announcement regarding if ODU will try to move to the SBC a year early. James Madison has already agreed to compete in in the Sun Belt for the upcoming 2022 campaign, which would balance out the potential Monarchs move.
