Oklahoma State is coming off a 10-3 record in 2016 in which the Cowboys were 7-6 with the over. Oklahoma State featured one of the top offensive units in the country last season, putting up 38.6 points per game. Mason Rudolph returns to lead the offense in 2017 after throwing for 4,091 yards and 28 touchdowns with just four interceptions. Also back for the Cowboys is James Washington, who caught 71 passes for 1,380 yards and 10 touchdowns. Justice Hill also returns in the backfield after he rushed for 1,142 yards and six touchdowns in 2016. The Oklahoma State defense gave up 26.5 points per game last season.

Tulsa is also coming off a 10-3 record in the 2016 season. The Golden Hurricanes were 8-5 with the over last year as well as it had an even-more impressive offense than Oklahoma State, averaging 42.5 points per game last year. Tulsa has to replace a lot on offense, as QB Dane Evans is gone. Evans threw for 3,348 yards and 32 touchdowns in 2016. Chad President and Luke Skipper have been battling for the starting spot. Tulsa also loses James Flanders in the backfield. He rushed for 1,619 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. D’Angelo Brewer does return after rushing for 1,425 yards and seven touchdowns in 2016. He will be the focal point of the offense. At receiver, Tulsa loses Keevan Lucas and Josh Atkinson. The two combined for 159 receptions, 2,238 yards and 23 touchdowns. Defensively, the Golden Hurricanes gave up 29.8 points per game, finding themselves in a fair number of shootouts.

Bet on Tulsa vs. Oklahoma State

The trends back the over tonight, even though it is a high number. Oklahoma State hit the over in five of seven home games last season while Tulsa hit it in four of six road games. The Cowboys should be able to score on nearly every possession as they return so much talent and face a low-level defense in Tulsa. The Golden Hurricanes have some questions on offense, working in a new quarterback. However, Tulsa still has a history of scoring points and the Golden Hurricanes should find a way to do their share to hit the over tonight.
