OUR EARLY PICK: This is a lot of points to lay but Washington should be able to handle the number. Last year’s outstanding defense returns most of its two-deep roster and quarterback Jake Browning should be ready to take that next step after impressing last season as a freshman. The Huskies are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four non-conference games and are 4-1 against the number in their last five games in September. The Scarlet Knights, meanwhile, are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall.
