CFB Passing TD Prop Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The College Football Season in 2015 has plenty of quarterbacks to keep an eye on. Of the top arms, which one will have the most passing touchdowns?
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, they have seven quarterbacks listed with over/under totals for passing touchdowns in 2015. Of the QB’s listed, USC’s Cody Kessler has the highest total of 34.5. Other QB’s listed include Michigan State’s Connor Cook (22.5), Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott (26.5), Clemson’s Deshaun Watson (29.5), Florida State’s Everett Golson (27.5), Baylor’s Seth Russell (29.5) and TCU’s Trevone Boykin (30.5).
Of the group listed here, Kessler had the most in 2014, as he threw a total of 36 touchdown passes with the Trojans. The actual high for the nation was Brandon Doughty of Western Kentucky, who had a total of 44 TD passes.
Boykin came in with exactly 30 in 2014, but you can anticipate a surge as he enters this season looking to lead TCU’s explosive offense, which has a chip on its shoulder after missing out on the playoffs in 2014.
Golson had 29 TD passes with Notre Dame last season and now takes over at an offense that would have to be considered more explosive in Florida State.
Prescott had 24 TD passes last year for the Bulldogs while Cook had 24 with the Spartans. Both will be relied on more this season.
In the case of Russell and Watson, they step in as the clear starters now in 2015. Watson had 14 TD passes in limited action a year ago and Russell had 8 in even less. Both teams have very strong offensive weapons. Baylor alone had 38 TD passes as a team in 2014 and 35 in 2013.
