Brad Kaaya Heisman Odds
MIAMI, FL (TheSpread) – If the Miami Hurricanes are going to make a run at the ACC title in 2015, it likely means that sophomore quarterback Brad Kaaya is going to make a run at the Heisman Trophy.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Kaaya is listed with 40/1 odds to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy. Trevone Boykin of TCU is the current favorite with 6/1 odds while Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott has 7/1 odds. Braxton Miller, Jeremy Johnson and Nick Chubb each have 10/1 odds.
Kaaya took over the Miami offense as a freshman and had a pretty promising year for the Hurricanes, as he threw for 3,198 yards on 221 of 378 passing. He had 26 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. Kaaya has a career-best 359 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Nebraska and he finished the season with three games of over 300 yards.
Miami is coming off a four-game losing streak to end the year where Kaaya played somewhat well, throwing for at least 236 yards in all four games while having six touchdowns to three interceptions. He did complete less than 50 percent of his passes in two of the four losses. With the loss of Duke Johnson to the NFL, the Hurricanes will need Kaaya to really lead the charge this season.
