SEC Championship Odds
(TheSpread) – The SEC Conference should once again be the toughest conference in college football for the 2013 season. Here is a look at the odds to win this year’s SEC title.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Alabama is the favorite to win the SEC this season, as he has odds of +150 to win. Other short odds to win the SEC are Georgia (+400), South Carolina (+450) and Texas A&M (+850).
Alabama has won the SEC Championship Game four times in program history and is also the defending champion. The Crimson Tide are the defending national champions and return 14 total starters from last year’s squad.
Georgia has won the SEC Championship Game twice, last winning in 2005. The Bulldogs have lost in the title game the last two years. This year’s squad brings back 14 starters, including nine on offense.
South Carolina has never won the SEC Championship Game, and had its lone appearance in 2010. The Gamecocks went 11-2 last year and return 13 starters from a season ago, including talented defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
Texas A&M has never reached the SEC Championship Game. The Aggies were a top team last year, going 11-2. A&M returns 12 starters from the 2012 team, led by Heisman-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel.
