Deshaun Watson Heisman Odds
CLEMSON, SC (The Spread) – After having success in eight games as a freshman last season, will Clemson signal-caller Deshaun Watson challenge for the Heisman Trophy in 2015?

Watson replaced Cole Stoudt as the Tigers’ starter last year and went on to throw for 1,466 yards and 14 touchdowns while completing 67.9 percent of his passes. With that performance, Watson’s expectations are sky-high this offseason and some believe that he’ll be in the mix for ACC Player of the Year.
But what about his Heisman odds? According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Watson is currently 14/1 to win the 2015 Heisman Trophy, which give him the same odds as Ohio State quarterbacks Braxton Miller and Cardale Jones. Fellow Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott is currently favored to win the award at 7/1, although he shares those odds with TCU signal-caller Trevone Boykin.
The biggest question facing Watson isn’t performance, but durability. He dealt with a hand injury, a sprained MCL and then tore his ACL in his first season alone. If he can stay healthy, the expectation is that he’ll post big-time production. But health is a question for Watson.
