Miller’s 16/1 odds are the same as teammate Cardale Jones, Alabama running back Derrick Henry and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson according to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv. Miller and Jones’ teammate Ezekiel Elliott is the current favorite to win the Heisman at 6/1.
After missing the entire 2014 season with a shoulder injury, Miller was cleared for full activity on June 8. Coach Urban Meyer has stated Miller will be given every opportunity to compete with Jones and J.T. Barrett for the starting job in Columbus. Some even believe that the job is Miller’s to lose.
After winning a national championship last season, the Buckeyes are poised for another big season no matter who starts under center. Ohio State is currently a 7/2 favorite to repeat as college football FBS champions, while Alabama has the next best odds at 7/1.
