Obama Honors Navy
Washington, D.C. – President Barack Obama is praising members of the Naval Academy football team, saying he is proud of their performance on the field and for their commitment to serve the country in coming years.
Obama on Tuesday welcomed Navy’s football team to the White House and presented the Midshipmen the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, awarded yearly to the winner of the competition among the three major service academies.

Obama praised the team’s sixth straight trophy and noted players’ frequent visits to the White House, saying that some of them know their way around the mansion better than he does.
Obama also joked that the team’s unofficial motto – “no excuses; nobody cares” – is similar to first lady Michelle Obama’s directions to the president.
