The 2017 college football season is months away but oddsmakers have already released odds for the Heisman Trophy.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and Louisville signal-caller Lamar Jackson are co-favorites at 7/1 odds, respectively, to win the Heisman Trophy in 2017. Jackson won the award as a sophomore in 2016 and would become the first player to win the Heisman in back-to-back years since Archie Griffin accomplished the feat and 1974 and 1975. Griffin is the only player to date that has won the Heisman Trophy twice.
