Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv currently list Watson as a 3/1 favorite to take home the Heisman Trophy in 2016 but he has company. Stanford's do-everything back Christian McCaffrey and LSU bruising halfback Leonard Fournette are have comparable odds to Watson at 4/1, respectively.

There's a small drop-off from Watson, McCaffrey and Fournette to the next group, starting with Ohio State signal-caller J.T. Barrett at 10/1. Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly and Florida State running back Dalvin Cook are both 12/1, respectively, while Oklahoma signal-caller Baker Mayfield, Georgia halfback Nick Chubb, and Oregon rusher Royce Freeman are all 14/1, respectively.

The current long shots to win the 2016 Heisman Trophy are Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine, Alabama receiver Calvin Ridley, Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs, and UCLA sophomore signal-caller Josh Rosen at 20/1, respectively. The player listed with the longest odds to win college football's most renowned award is Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya, who is 33/1.
