Clemson Favored to Win 2020 Title
Following their demolishing of the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Clemson Tigers opened as the favorites to repeat as college football national champions for 2020. Here’s a breakdown of the current title odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Tigers are 2/1 favorites to win the 2020 College Football Championship Game. The Crimson Tide have the next-best odds at 13/5 and then there’s a steep cliff from there.
The Georgia Bulldogs came close of upsetting ‘Bama in the SEC title game this year but the loss kept them out of the college football playoff. The Dawgs have the next-best odds behind Clemson and Alabama to win the national championship at 8/1. Ohio State rounds out the top 4 at 12/1.
Continuing with the current odds, Michigan is 14/1 to win next year’s national championship, followed by Oklahoma at 16/1 and Texas at 22/1. Notre Dame, which made the playoffs this past season but was routed by Clemson, is 28/1 to win the 2020 college football national championship.
Other mid-range long-shots include Florida, Nebraska, Oregon and Washington are 30/1, respectively/ LSU is 40/1, followed by Auburn at 50/1. Mississippi State is 60/1, as are Penn State, Texas A&M and Wisconsin, respectively. Miami and Utah are 75/1, respectively, while USC is 85/1.
There are a handful of teams with 100/1 odds, including Florida State, Iowa, Virginia Tech and Washington State. Arizona, meanwhile, is 200/1 to win it all next season, as are Baylor, Iowa State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Stanford, Syracuse, TCU and UCLA.
