2018 National Championship Odds
Despite losing to Clemson on Monday night, Alabama has opened as the favorites to win the 2018 College Football National Championship.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Crimson Tide are a 13/4 favorite to win the national title in 2018. Florida State has the next-best odds at 8/1, while Ohio State is 17/2 and Oklahoma at 17/2 rounds out the top 4, although USC also has odds of 17/2. LSU, Louisville and Michigan are all 14/1, respectively.
Continuing with the odds, the defending champion Clemson Tigers are 20/1 to repeat as title winners next year without quarterback DeShaun Watson, who will be playing on Sundays next season. Texas is 28/1, Auburn, Oklahoma State and Penn State are all 35/1, respectively, while Georgia, Virginia Tech and Washington are all 45/1, respectively.
Some of the other mid-range long-shots include Florida, Kansas State, Tennessee and UCLA, who are all 55/1, respectively, as well as Miami, Notre Dame, West Virginia and Wisconsin, who are all 65/1, respectively. Oregon, Stanford, TCU and Washington State are 85/1, respectively.
Getting into some of the true long-shots, Colorado, Michigan State, NC State and Ole Miss are all 100/1, respectively, while Georgia Tech and Nebraska are 200/1, respectively. BYU, Baylor, Duke, Minnesota, North Carolina, Northwestern, Pittsburgh and South Carolina are all 300/1, respectively.
Arizona, Boston College, California, Houston, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Maryland, Oregon State, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Virginia and West Forest are all 500/1, respectively, while Central Florida, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Navy, Purdue, Rutgers, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and Western Kentucky are all 1000/1, respectively.
The schools with the longest odds on the board to win the 2018 College Football National Championship are Air Force, Army and Wyoming, who are all 5000/1, respectively.
