Current Odds
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Crimson Tide are currently 5.5-point favorites to beat the Tigers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 58 points. These have been the betting odds for the national championship game for the last few days, with little to no movement at Vegas and online sportsbooks.
Opening Odds
All of the movement for Monday’s title matchup came early. After Alabama opened as 6.5-point favorites, bettors started to hammer Clemson, which brought the number down to 6 at most books. That spread got as low as 5 at one point last week before climbing back to 5.5. The total also saw some initial movement, dropping from the original number of 60.5 down to 59, then to 58.5 and finally, 58.
Public Betting Information
As of Monday morning, 59% of betting tickets for tonight’s game are on Alabama, although only 51% of the money is currently on the Tide. Strangely, 51% of the money line tickets and 63% of the money line cash is also on Alabama. Usually, the money line tickets and cash will be on the underdog with bettors risking less to win more. As of this writing, that isn’t the case.
As for the total, 57% of the betting tickets are on the over but 55% of the money is on the under, which is in line with the line movement on the under.
