Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
Georgia redshirt sophomore QB JT Daniels completed 16-of-27 passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-19 victory over Missouri on Saturday. Daniels (6’3/210) is showing why he should have been Georgia’s quarterback all season, as he averaged 11.1 yards per attempt and stretched the field vertically far better than either of his predecessors. He displayed a flair for the big play, as all three of his touchdown passes went for 30-yards or more. To put in perspective how lopsided the victory was, the Dawgs amassed a ridiculous 615 yards of total offense with zero turnovers. The USC transfer looked comfortable and firmly in control of OC Todd Monken’s up tempo offense. Daniels will look to finish off the regular season with a win next Saturday against Mississippi State.
Cincinnati Bearcats Game Notes
Cincinnati redshirt junior QB Desmond Ridder completed 19-of-29 passes for 269 yards with a touchdown and ran for 83 yards with a score in a 27-24 win over Tulsa on Saturday in the AAC Championship Game. This was a good football game. Ridder’s scores each were go-ahead touchdowns; a 36-yard pass to Alec Pierce, and a 10-yard scramble in the third that made it 24-24. The dual-threat signal-caller was able to lead the Bearcats on a final drive that ended with a Cole Smith 34-yard field goal that gave Cincinnati an undefeated year and also an AAC Championship game. It’s been a very strong year for Ridder, and the only question now is what New Year’s Six Bowl the Bearcats get invited to.
Georgia vs. Cincinnati Betting Prediction
The Bearcats are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four games as an underdog, are 4-1 against the number in their last five non-conference games and have covered in five of their last seven games when facing an opponent with a winning record. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game and have failed to cover in four of their last games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game as well.
