Shaw lifts Bearcats to win
J.C. Show hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer Friday night to send Binghamton to a 68-67 victory over LIU Brooklyn at the Barclays Center. The Bearcats outscored the Blackbirds 48-37 in the second half on its way to the win. Chancellor Barnard paced Binghamton with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting and 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds and blocked three shots. Show finished with 15 points, four boards, three steals and two steals. Everson Davis tallied 13 points and three rebounds. Sam Sessoms contributed 11 points, six assists and three rebounds. The Bearcats shot 27-of-64 from the floor, 5-of-18 from 3-point range and 9-of-13 at the charity stripe.
Wolverines improve to 12-0
The Wolverines eased past Air Force at home last Saturday by a count of 71-50. Michigan pulled away in the second half as it outscored the Falcons 43-29 over the final 20 minutes. Ignas Brazdeikis paced U-M with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting plus 4-of-7 from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds and two assists. Charles Matthews contributed 17 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Poole had 11 points, five boards and two assists. Isaiah Livers added 11 points, six caroms and two steals. The Wolverines shot 28-of-60 from the floor, 10-of-31 from 3-point range and 5-of-7 at the free throw line.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Binghamton
The Bearcats are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. Binghamton is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six Sunday games.
Michigan
The Wolverines are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. Michigan is 1-4 ATS in its last five non-conference games.
Prediction:
Sure, the Bearcats are one of the worst teams in the country but this spread still seems a little too bloated. Michigan might be motivated to win by a huge margin in order to have a better shot at moving to No. 1 in the rankings, but a win over Binghamton won’t move the needle at all no matter what happens. I think a Wolverines win by 30-35 points is more likely than by 40 or more. Go with the underdogs here and take the points.
