Broncos ease to win

Western Michigan rolled to an 84-61 victory 11 days ago at home against NAIA opponent Aquinas College to improve to 7-5 overall and 5-1 at home. The Broncos led 48-30 at halftime on their way to the win. Michael Flowers led WMU with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting including 3-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also accounted for five assists and two rebounds. Brandon Johnson tallied 15 points, four boards and two assists. Adrian Martin added 10 points, two caroms and two assists off the bench.

Spartans dominate Eagles

Michigan State raced to a 101-48 home win over Eastern Michigan eight days ago to move to 9-3 overall and 4-1 at home. The Spartans led 41-20 at halftime and continued to pad the advantage after the break. Cassius Winston paced MSU with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range plus 3-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also registered seven assists, two rebounds and two steals. Foster Loyer had 13 points in 16 minutes off the bench. Aaron Henry racked up 12 points, nine boards, six dimes and two blocked shots. College Basketball Betting Trends

Western Michigan

The Broncos are 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Western Michigan is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five Sunday games.

Michigan State

The Spartans are 5-1 ATS in its their last six Sunday games. Michigan State is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games as a favorite.

Prediction:

The Spartans have easily disposed of their last two in-state foes, defeating Oakland by 23 in a neutral environment and EMU by a whopping 53. Western Michigan is worse than either of those two squads, but with the Big Ten schedule back in full force after this game I think MSU might ease up a little bit. This is a much bigger game for the Broncos and while making it competitive might be a stretch, I think they can keep it a little less lopsided than the spread suggests.
