Jayhawks edged by Wildcats

Kansas lost 56-55 at Villanova eight days ago to drop to 9-2 overall and 1-1 on the road. The Jayhawks were outscored 33-32 in the second half of a game that was close throughout as they allowed the go-ahead 3-pointer with 20.5 seconds to play. Devon Dotson paced Kansas with 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 4-of-7 at the free throw line. He also registered seven rebounds and four assists. Udoka Azuibuike tallied 12 points, 11 boards, two assists and two blocked shots. Ochai Agbaji added 11 points, four dimes, three steals and two rebounds.

Cardinal edge Toreros

Stanford picked up a 62-59 win eight days ago over San Diego in the Basketball Hall of Fame Al Attles Classic in San Francisco to improve to 11-1 on the season. The Cardinal led the Toreros 31-29 at halftime and held on after the break. Tyrell Terry paced Stanford with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the charity stripe. He also accounted for seven rebounds and three assists. Oscar Da Silva added 19 points, 11 boards and five steals.

College Basketball Betting Trends

The Jayhawks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. Kansas is 5-16 ATS in its last 21 road games.

The Cardinal are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as a home underdog. Stanford is 6-20 ATS in its last 26 Sunday games.

Kansas is certainly one of the most talented teams in teh nation, but have had their fair share of issues in true road games the last couple seasons. With Stanford playing with a lot of confidence right now and having the backing of what will be a loud crowd, I like the hosts' chances to keep this close. The Cardinal haven't played a very difficult schedule, but did take Butler to the wire in a neutral setting. Going with Stanford here.
