Roadrunners suffocate Mustangs

Cal State Bakersfield cruised to a 72-50 victory eight days ago at Cal Poly to improve to 6-8 overall and 1-5 on the road. The Roadrunners were paced offensively by Taze Moore as he scored 13 points on 3-of-8 shooting including 1-of-1 from 3-point distance plus 6-of-6 at the free throw line. He also contributed five rebounds and five assists. Justin McCall added eight points and three boards. Cal State Bakersfield led 31-20 at halftime en route to the triumph.

Red Raiders get past Vaqueros

Texas Tech earned a 68-58 home win eight days ago over UT Rio Grande Valley to move to 8-3 overall and 6-0 at home. The Red Raiders outscored the Vaqueros 42-31 in the second half after trailing by one at the break. Jahmi'us Ramsey paced Texas Tech with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point range plus 1-of-2 at the free throw line. He also notched five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Terrence Shannon Jr. contributed 14 points, five boards and three dimes. Kevin McCullar added 10 points, two caroms and two steals off the bench.

College Basketball Betting Trends

CSU Bakersfield

The Roadrunners are 7-21 ATS in their last 28 games overall. Cal State Bakersfield is 1-6 ATS in its last seven road games.

Texas Tech

The Red Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last five Sunday games. Texas Tech is 1-5 ATs in its last six home games.

Prediction:

The Red Raiders are a mystery of sorts as they have the victory over previously top-ranked Louisville but have also lost their three other games against top 100 opponents. Texas Tech lost its best player from last season to the NBA in Jarrett Culver and is still trying to carve out its offensive identity. The good news is that the Roadrunners aren't the stiffest challenge today, but with their conference opener on deck I suspect Texas Tech might go through the motions here.
