Privateers drop second straight
New Orleans lost 87-79 last Saturday at Sam Houston State to drop to 4-7 overall and 0-2 on the road. The Privateers trailed 49-41 at halftime and were unable to recover. Bryson Robinson paced New Orleans with 24 points on 6-of-15 shooting including 3-of-8 from 3-point range plus 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also tallied four rebounds and three assists. Troy Green accounted for 20 points, six boards and three assists. Lamont Berzat added 11 points, three dimes, two rebounds and two steals.
Tigers race to win
Memphis cruised to a 77-49 home victory last Saturday over Jackson State to improve to 10-1 overall and 7-0 at home. The hosts outscored JSU 38-21 in the second half to pull away. Precious Achiuwa paced Memphis with 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting including 1-of-1 from 3-point range plus 3-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also registered nine rebounds and two assists. D.J. Jeffries added 13 points, seven boards and two steals.

I see another one-sided win in the cards here. New Oreans was not in the same league when it played Butler or LSU and I see more of the same today.
